Wardhill is one of the oldest privately owned estates in North-East Scotland and boasts beautiful parkland around the castle which provides for scenic walks with managed forestry offering wonderful woodland retreats. There is a large herd of award winning sheep that graze the open parkland on the estate throughout the year, and provides fresh lamb to the local community. In addition there are 400 acres of managed woodland to explore.
The Castle itself is available for exclusive private hire on a self-catered or catered basis, and can sleep 16 people in newly decorated bedrooms with modern bathrooms and a new kitchen.
Each of the eight bedrooms are spacious and bright, with all the modern comforts you would expect from a property of this standard, yet the old worldly charm is retained throughout.
The Estate is only a short distance from Aberdeen airport, with many local attractions such as a world class golf course, the whisky trail and a fantastic array of beautiful castles to explore. With over 50 courses to play in the region, it boasts some of the best golf courses on the globe including the 6th oldest course in the world and the world-renowned Trump course at Balmedie.
The iconic whisky trail that runs from distillery to distillery up the Spey River is unique, boasting some of the finest whisky distilleries you may find anywhere. The trail takes in seven world famous distilleries in the heart of the Spey and allows not only tasting sessions but detailed knowledge of the history of Scottish malt whisky.
