The North Pacific and Nicoya Peninsular have some of the best beaches in Costa Rica. You will find sheltered sandy bays ideal for gentle water sports and swimming to world renowned oceanic surf beaches.
Strict planning regulations have ensured that the coastline hasn't suffered from the sprawling coastal development. There are a few large resorts but we prefer the smaller scale boutique resorts, Andaz being a favourite with excellent facilities and service.
Nosara and Santa Teresa on southern Nicoya are laid back but lively surf villages frequented by healthy living Hollywood celebs that retreat to their villas in the lush hills above the beach. Here we are privy to a clutch of stunning villas with 24 hour concierge with access to private chefs, wellness classes and surf instructors.
Costa Rica is a small but mountainous country and some road journeys can be lengthy. There is an international airport at Liberia in the north which greatly reduces journey times to the northern Pacific coast.
