Okonjima Nature Reserve is an incredible wildlife park with a vast, diverse landscape, located in the Omboroko Mountains. It is the epicentre of one of Namibia’s most impressive conservation programme, the AfriCat foundation. Founded in 1991, its main aim was to contribute to conservation effort by undertaking research, community support and environmental research projects.
Furthermore, Okonjima is famed for frequent cheetah, leopard and, coming soon, lion sightings on its safaris. Hike up the mountain range for a birds eye view or visit the small waterfall for a peaceful afternoon.
We recommend staying at least two days to experience all the exciting activities on offer.
