Villa Lumiere has wonderful sea views and is just a short walk away from Palombaggia beach, one of Europe’s most secluded and stunning beaches.  Close by is the lively town of Porto Vecchio with fabulous restaurants serving fresh fish and local Corsican specialities and the town of Bonifacio with boutiques, restaurants and bars.   The villa sits on a quiet hillside, surrounded by stunning scenery and unrivalled panoramic views.

There are plenty of activities to keep guests busy with windsurfing, jet ski and speedboat hire at Palombaggia beach and several excellent equestrian centres nearby.

Villa Lumiere has five luxurious double bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. Each bedroom is equipped with a plasma television, DVD player and iPod docking station.

The superb living spaces offer modern luxury, with a full entertainment system, a contemporary kitchen and an elegant dining area, perfect for family and friends to gather and entertain.

If keeping fit is important, there is an air conditioned, fully equipped gymnasium.  For relaxation guests can watch a movie in the cinema room complete with a DVD library.

To the outside of the villa, there is a large heated outdoor swimming pool has incredible views, two hot tubs and tranquil terraces for sunbathing or al fresco dining. Kids can enjoy the outdoor children's play area.  There is also a boules pitch and outdoor bar.

Our Villa is situated near the old 16th century Genoese port of Porto Vecchio, which is today a bustling town and, if you wish, you can tempt yourself away from the peace and tranquillity of your poolside to visit the nearby countryside. Travelling into the heart of Corsica offers a chance to witness the old original island when the locals turned away from the sea, a source of pirates and danger. Small farming communities still eke out a rustic and hardy existence, taking advantage of the abundant quantities of rain that fall on the island in the winter time thanks to the mountain peaks, thereby differentiating the vegetation and economy of the island from its neighbours.

The Ospedale National Park features glorious woodlands covering looming mountains, whilst the nearby beach of Santa Giulia, a lagoon of crystal clear turquoise water with a beach of fine white sand, has been classified by UNESCO as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

Region

For the French, Corsica is the Ile de Beauté and it’s very easy to see why. The island exudes an almost magical beauty with its high mountain scenery of towering peaks and cascading slopes dominating and defining the centre of the island and the whole covered in green chestnut trees and pine forests.

On the coastline, the mountains appear to fall dramatically into the sparkling sea that washes the near 1000 kilometres of rugged azurean coastline. The crysal clear, aquamarine blue waters and often near empty beaches are amongst the cleanest in Europe.

There is so much to do on this idyllic island from hiking and diving to horse riding and exploring the quaint streets of clifftop towns. Couple this together with delicious local cuisine a culmination of the very best of French and Italian rolled into one, the superb Mediterranean climate and a very cosmopolitan crowd who either live there or like to frequent the island and voila, there are all the ingredients for a very special place to visit.
