We tried but failed...one cannot possibly describe this Penthouse without aligning it to it's namesake. As this really is the James Bond of apartments!
From the views, the ski in access to the mod cons installed in this stellar property - it really has a license to thrill! Located on the piste, as you ski back into the sophisticated resort of St Christoph, this exquisite property is the top two floors of a recently renovated chalet building boasting the best location in resort.
An incredibly short walk to the main lift station, St Christophban as well as to the well loved, ever popular and incredibly buzzing mountain restaurant, Hospiz Alms...you will be the envy of many following a long lunch and all you need to do is potter (or ski) a short distance whereas no doubt your fellow diners may have to make their way back to St Anton or beyond! You'll be back in the comfort of this property before they've even strapped back on their skis!
Set over two floors with the most jaw dropping mezzanine landing looking down over the stunning sitting room area. This creates the feeling of space
and light that floods into the property. Not least from the ceiling to floor windows that lead out onto the wrap around balcony that basks in sunshine during the spring months of March & April.
It truly is the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of champagne and canapes smugly surveying that group of skiers that having finished their days' skiing now have a bus transfer to their onward abodes as they didn't make the savvy decision to book Skyfall! It will be well after sunset till they get their bubbles...!
There is a TV area beyond the sitting room with a libraby of games & DVDs and this area can be closed off with sliding doors either side of the central fireplace. The kitchen and dining room area can also be separated from the living room area.
The penthouse's 4 bedrooms are located on the top floor, leading off that glorious quadrangle mezzanine area. There is also a 'guest or nanny' single room on the floor below with en-suite shower room. But we advise this only for staff or anyone who is partial to later nights than everyone else!

Whether it's a fair judgement or not, St Anton is well-known and loved for its lively nightlife and apres ski, heralded as the queen of the Alps on this front! Whilst this can indeed be understood at around 5pm when skiing past the rowdy audience, stamping upon the tables at the established Mooserwirt or Krazy Kangeroo slopeside restaurants, it's not the epitome of the resort. Family friendly and traditional at heart, the pedestrianised street that is the central vein to St Anton is very beautiful. Not clad with shoulder to shoulder uber exclusive boutiques, you'll need to pop over to the neighbouring resorts of Lech & Zurs for these, but instead an eclectic mix of restaurants, bars & shops that cater to all tastes (and depths of pockets!).
The skiing, however, is St Anton's bijou gem. As the largest resort of Austria's largest connected ski area, Arlberg, by staying in St Anton you have this ski area easily accessible at your finger tips. From the great heights of the towering Valluga Mountain heralding Europe's longest lift-connected-on-ski's off-piste trail (ski guide advised) to the gentle nursery slopes of the Nassarein, this ski area really does offer something for everyone. As well as a plethora of activities for non-skiers too; be it the 4km toboggan run down from Gampen to Nasserein with the obligatory 'Gluhwein' stop off half way down. Or a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the magical valley of Verwall - there really is 'fun for all the family' here. And all served up with the friendly Austrian hospitality which is a reason in its own right to visit St Anton.
