The Dormy House Hotel is a delightful retreat nestled within the 400 acre Farncombe Estate, just minutes from the beautiful Cotswold village of Broadway.
Dormy House has 38 individually designed rooms ranging from cosy attic rooms and romantic hideaways, to 11 suites designed by Emily Todhunter.
There are also Hot Tub suites complete with private garden and hot tub. Special touches include private terraces for some rooms, family-friendly options, and even dog-friendly rooms - complete with dog bed, towel, water bowl and treat - available on request.
There are three dining options - The Back Garden is a fine dining restaurant overlooking picturesque gardens, The Potting Shed is an all-day dining pub and MO offers interactive seven course tasting menus for just 12 guests.
Beyond Dormy House, guests are also welcome to dine in the Hook Restaurant at neighbouring Fish Hotel.
Between exploring the Estate and discovering nearby Cotswolds villages (complete with made-to-order luxury picnics), guests can unwind in the House Spa, which offers luxurious body and face treatments by Temple Spa. Lined with comfortable loungers and atmospherically illuminated with candlelight, the spa also offers a 16m indoor infinity pool, the perfect spot for a few leisurely lengths or curling up poolside with a book and lazing the day away.
With roaring fires, sumptuous interiors, cosy corners and jaw dropping views across the Cotswolds, this much loved country house really is a perfect hideaway.
You may also be interested in a manor house on the Farncombe Estate – the wonderful Foxhill Manor is a beautiful 5 star manor house which has 8 rooms available.
Is there a better way to celebrate a special occasion than by taking a luxury break in the stunning Cotswolds? With rolling hills, beautiful villages and an abundance of activities on offer, it’s the perfect place to escape and indulge.
The glorious, honey-coloured towns and villages of the Cotswolds look as if they have strayed into the 21st century from another era. The area is characterised by a vibrant energy: with lively galleries, interesting festivals and a sprinkling of fascinating museums, as well as a calendar of horse races that are well worth traveling to enjoy! Covering five counties (Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire) this region of 'wolds', or rolling hills, is the biggest of the Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty in England and Wales, of which there are 38 in total. Each county has its own character and there are reasons to explore the 'wolds' or gently rolling hills during every season.
Book a spring adventure to see lambs and wild daffodils and endless bluebell woods. Visit in summer for magical sunrises and sunsets and the longest days to explore historical properties such as Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, the Rococco Gardens in Painswick, or Sudeley Castle in Winchcombe. Choose autumn for a quieter atmosphere and richly painted woodland especially at the two great arboreta, Westonbirt and Batsford. Crowd-free winters are ideal for bracing walks and well deserved fire-side afternoon teas - and quite possibly lower prices!
There are wonderful holiday hotels in the Cotswolds providing a luxurious base from which to explore the region. Foxhill Manor, Dormy House Hotel and The Fish Hotel are a few of the exceptional hotels in the area we recommend. Our destination specialists have a wealth of experience in creating tailor made holidays to the Cotswolds, finding your ideal accommodation and planning your perfect itinerary.
