Chalet McKinley

Zermatt, Switzerland

  • From €5,655/night
  • Ski Chalet
  • 5 Bedrooms
  • 5 Bathrooms
  • Sleeps 10

One of the seven new chalets housed in the arrival of the heralded 7 Heavens complex, Zermatt’s most exclusive address in town, Chalet McKinley is all one would expect of such a vast investment. Located in the heart, and we mean heart, of the Swiss resort of Zermatt, this super luxurious chalet is head & shoulders above the rest.

An absolute masterpiece of contemporary, clean lines married together with Savoyard touches, the elegant interiors simply ooze ‘uber-luxury’. From the moment you step inside the comfort of the 4 storey chalet from the welcoming entrance area of the 7 Heavens complex, your shoulders relax and the eyes awake with the visual splendour.

Accessed from the ground floor, you will find a conveniently located private ski room with heated boot room. Take the stairs, or the private lift that serves all of the chalet’s 4 floors, and on the first floor you will find 3 of the 5 en-suite bedrooms along with separate TV & Games Room.

Second floor is home to the 2 Master Bedrooms, all of which boast their own balcony overlooking Zermatt which is literally under your nose! All bedrooms are equipped with state of the art, no expense spared interiors and gadgets and most have ample sitting room space and walk-in wardrobes.

Also on the second floor is the incredible Spa & Wellness area with private indoor hot tub, hammam, sauna and one of Zermatt’s very few indoor private plunge pools – a welcomed sight after a long day up in the mountains.

But it’s up on the third floor where the heart of the chalet lies. Here you will find the vast open plan living and dining area along with open plan kitchen and wrap around balcony.

If you are able to tear yourself away from the warmth around the suspended wood fire place encased with fur lined sofas, then pop out on the balcony to marvel in the supreme scenes that unfold.

With the river running below and the idyllic skyline of Zermatt’s chocolate box wooden chalets and church spires glittering beyond, we’re fairly sure it won’t be long until the temptation is far too great to get out & indulge in this buzzing atmosphere of the town. But only after your team of dedicated chalet hosts & chef have dazzled you with their extraordinary innovative cuisine and extensive list of fine wines...one must, after all, keep the energy levels up to see you through the evenings’ escapades!
