Cassiopeia House is a luxury villa which forms part of the fabulous Kassiopia Estate in north-east Corfu, offering guests elegant comfort and ultimate privacy.

The villa combines a strong Venetian influence and traditional Corfiot features with contemporary comfort. Designed and built by a Norman Foster-trained architect to the highest specifications, this is a superb large villa for a group of friends or family.

The grounds of Cassiopeia House incorporate woodland areas through which snakes a network of pathways and steps to enable guests to explore the estate on foot. Spectacular views and several designated seating areas are dotted along the way, from which guests can relax and take in the incredible scenery.

The villa’s generous communal spaces are perfect for entertaining. The magnificent 16m long sitting room provides the ideal balance of elegance and comfort, with stone floors, comfortable sofas, beautiful art and accessories, a charming open Corfiot fireplace and a dining table that seats 14 guests.

Sunlight streams through nine French windows, all of which open onto a terrace with spectacular sea and mountain views.

A well-equipped kitchen opens out onto an outdoor covered entertaining area with its own bar, barbecue and dining table for up to 20 guests.

Cassiopeia House is a luxury villa with seven bedrooms, most with en-suite shower rooms and terraced areas. Two of the bedrooms can be separated off from the main house (by closing a door in the passageway) to create a private suite with one super King-size bedroom and one Twin bedroom.

Hand-crafted stone steps lead up to a small swimming pool which overlooks the main saltwater infinity pool and area below. Designed with smaller children and parents in mind, the oval pool is easily viewed from the highly comfortable poolside daybeds and sun loungers. From here, steps weave down to a small pebble beach which offers beautiful sea swimming and snorkelling –  a very special and sought-after aspect of this property.

Cassiopeia House is a fabulous residence and is certainly not short on facilities or wow-factor. From a quirky cinema room to a small gym with a sauna and steam room, there is something for everyone in between relaxing, eating, swimming and exploring this special corner of Corfu Island.

Region

If there's one thing that Corfu knows how to do, it's luxury. From the breathtakingly opulent villas perched atop the cliffs, to the world-class restaurants and first-class service, a holiday on this Ionian Island is all about living the high life. Whether you're looking for a romantic break for two or a fun family getaway, Corfu has something to suit everyone.

Generally considered the most charming of the Greek Ionian islands, Corfu lies at the northwest tip of the country, separated from mainland Europe by a narrow channel of sea. Its milder climate, verdant vegetation, rocky bays, towering mountains and sandy beaches have made the island a popular holiday destination in both summer and winter.

The island’s turbulent history is reflected in much of its architecture. Ancient monasteries, built by the Christians who first settled Corfu from the eastern Byzantine church, sit atop high bluffs, while neoclassical Venetian buildings in the old town constitute the legacy of 400 years of Venetian settlement. During this time the island suffered repeated attacks from the Ottomans, but never fell to them thanks to the massive fortifications built at the sea entrance, which today serve as a reminder of Corfu’s legendary status as a bulwark against the Ottoman empire. Signs of 19th century British rule, which ceded to Greek unification in 1863, persist in the island’s several cricket pitches, where the genteel game is still assiduously played.

Topographically, the island offers a huge variety. Imposing mountains, from which you can see the European mainland, descend into undulating land with quiet lakes and abundant olive trees (a local speciality), which in turn lead to serene bays and long, sandy beaches.

Because Corfu was one of the first Greek islands to develop mass tourism it has a reputation for busy resorts, but with the help of our Rocksure team you will be able to avoid the crowds and enjoy the true beauty of this legendary isle.  We have a choice of accommodation for your next holiday to CorfuAcacia House is a wonderful 3 bedroom villa in Corfu. Local Area

The location of Cassiopeia House is simply superb. The house has its own vehicular access and is a 10-15 minute walk to the thriving little harbour of Kassiopi with its shops, bars and restaurants.

Boat hire (extra cost) is a wonderful way to reach one of the many pretty waterside tavernas on the north-east coastline, stopping for a swim in another deserted cove along the way.
